RALEIGH EXECUTIVE JETPORT EXPANDS AS CORPORATE GATEWAY

After almost twenty years of struggling to grow due to septic system constraints, the Raleigh Executive Jetport is experiencing a new standard with an established link to the City of Sanford’s public sewer system. A $1.5 million grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation contributed to the $2.7 million sewer project. Construction of a corporate hangar also began earlier this month to support the Jetport’s position in the Research Triangle Region. The two new features are expected to enhance available services for regional traffic along with more than 180 aircraft based at the Jetport. The Raleigh Executive Jetport currently contributes an economic output of $62.7 million and $2.42 million in annual taxes.

The new corporate hangar at the Jetport was designed to house a Gulfstream G650 and marks the first development in the North Terminal Hangars. At 16,250-square-feet, the hangar occupies one of seven sites available for additional hangars over 15,000-square-feet. The Jetport is currently home to 11 businesses, and continued growth is anticipated with the increased availability of new hangar space.
