LOW-COST CARRIER RETURNS SERVICE TO NORTHERN COLORADO

Avelo airlines is bringing back direct flights from Northern Colorado Regional (FNL) in Fort Collins to Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California. Scheduled to begin October 6, direct flights will be available twice a week for an introductory fare – until October 19 – of $49 for one-way tickets on a limited number of seats. Carry-ons, checked bags, assigned seats and other options will be charged extra fees.

There has not been regularly scheduled commercial air service at FNL since 2017 when Elite Airways ended their flights after just a few years. Allegiant Airlines had planned to bring commercial flights to Las Vegas in 2019 but those plans were shelved when testing of the airport’s remote tower was delayed due to the onset of the covid pandemic.
