ROSS AVIATION ACQUIRES STUART JET CENTER
Ross Aviation, based in Denver, Colorado, has acquired Stuart Jet Center at Witham Field (SUA) in Stuart, FL.
The facility, rebranded as Ross Aviation at Stuart Jet Center, encompasses a 53-acre leasehold with 15 acres of secure and lighted ramp area, and upwards of 340,000 sq ft of hangar space able to accommodate the largest ultra-long-range business jets. Ross will also soon open a newly-built 30,000 sq ft hangar with adjoining 6,000 sq ft of office space.
A 7,000 sq ft terminal building has a passenger lounge and refreshment bar, concierge service, pilot lounge, showers, a crew car, and onsite car rental. U.S. Customs service is available at the airport, which features a 5,828-foot primary runway.
The move, which took place in August and had been in discussion for over a decade, adds a second FBO facility in Florida to the one Ross holds in Sarasota. The Ross network now operates 19 FBOs at 16 airports mainly in the U.S.
