PACIFIC NORTHWEST COMMUNITIES TO BENEFIT FROM LIFE FLIGHT NETWORK’S NEW BELL 407GXi HELICOPTERS
Life Flight Network has announced the addition of 12 Bell 407GXi helicopters to its fleet with delivery expected to begin in May of next year. The Bell 407GXi helicopters are IFR certified and will help the company to better serve rural communities in its operating region. The aircraft has a range of more than 400 miles along with increased high altitude performance capability making it suitable for Life Flight Network’s Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West environments.
According to Life Flight Network, the delivery of the Bell 407GXi helicopters will provide a greater safety margin amplified by the aircraft’s IFR certification and three-axis autopilot. The helicopter also features bi-fold side doors to enable easier and faster patient loading. Life Flight Network has 25 rotor-wing bases, nine fixed-wing bases, two neonatal and pediatric bases, along with 30 ground ambulances throughout Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Montana. The company was named 2021 Program of the Year by the Association of Air Medical Services and is headquartered in Aurora, Oregon.
