NDOT INVITES STUDENTS TO DESIGN THEIR PERFECT AIRCRAFT

The Nevada Department of Transportation is seeking Nevada students to participate in an aviation art contest offered by the National Association of State Aviation Officials. The U.S. contest is part of an international program run by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). Youths aged six to 17 are invited to submit their artwork by January 10, 2022.

The theme of the contest is “design your perfect aircraft” and invites participants to submit ideas fueled by their imagination. The contest description outlines the importance of the theme as one that supports the future of aviation and aeronautics through the eyes of young visionaries. Acceptable art mediums include acrylic, oil paint, watercolor, indelible marker pens, felt-tip pens, soft ball-point pens, indelible ink, Crayola, or any similar indelible medium. Non-permanent mediums, computer-generated artwork, and collage work involving photocopies are not acceptable for the contest. Awards will be given at state, national, and international levels.
