KOKV BREAKS GROUND ON HANGAR CONDOMINIUM CONSTRUCTION

VA – The first phase of hangar condominium construction at Winchester Regional Airport (KOKV) has officially commenced as TMG Construction Corporation has broken ground on the development of a 20,000-square-foot building. The new building will house six private aircraft hangars as part of the project’s first 11 units with 21 additional box hangars scheduled for the second phase of the project. The 32 KOKV hangars are expected to be completed within six years.

KOKV is located 90 minutes from Washington, D.C. and the first six hangars of the construction project are anticipated to become available this summer. The project will group hangars into two buildings that will be constructed along the southeast side of the general aviation ramp near the end of Runway 32. Each hangar will provide direct access to the ramp in front of the hangar and to a service road behind the units. The KOKV hangars are part of a condominium association allowing each unit to include central compressed air, internet, electronic access control, common storage, and access to an outdoor picnic area.
