SIMFlightATL Offers Redbird FMX at PDK
GA – SIMFlightATL offers a Redbird FMX simulator at the company’s Dekalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) location. The Redbird FMX is a full-motion FAA-certified AATD. Students can utilize the Redbird FMX simulator to log time toward their Instrument ratings, while instrument-rated pilots can use the simulator to maintain currency. The Redbird FMX at SimFlightATL offers users the ability to learn in a controlled environment while also reducing training costs for students and pilots.
SIMFlightATL is owned and operated by Terry Harper and Glenn Bailey, who are both CFIs and recognized the need for a modern AATD flight simulator at PDK. “With fuel and operating costs rising, the need to remain current and proficient is becoming more expensive for every pilot. The Redbird FMX is a great way to reduce training cost and keep proficient while conserving fuel and reducing ATC’s workload. At busy airports, like the one we’re at (PDK), the need to reduce the number of takeoff and landings is important to the airport and the surrounding community. We’re averaging about 40 hours a month in training, which equates to over 80 takeoff and landings that are eliminated just at this airport. Not to mention the time saved with ATC in the surrounding airspace,” said Harper.
