American Airlines Boosts Job Growth at MIA

FL – American Airlines announced it will add more than 600 jobs in Miami. The new positions will be home-based reservations jobs. According to American Airlines, there are currently 200 new representatives in training and the airline expects to hire more than 400 representatives in the coming months.

American Airlines has a goal of increasing the home-based reservations agent team size to 800 representatives. The additional employees will join over 1,500 new hires from last year at Miami International Airport (MIA). American Airlines is the third-largest private employer in Miami-Dade County and has provided a more than 30-year commitment to supporting the Miami hub. The airline added six new international routes and 11 new domestic destinations from the Miami International Airport last year. American Airlines operations at MIA are supported by over 12,500 locally based employees with 360 daily flights to 140 destinations. The company is expecting another record-breaking year in 2022.
