Duncan Aviation to Expand Two MRO Locations

Lincoln, Nebraska-based MRO provider Duncan Aviation is planning a $66 million expansion of its operations in Lincoln and Battle Creek, Michigan. The company says the projects were initiated in response to current and projected demand as business aviation continues to grow in flight numbers and aircraft size. Both locations will involve the construction of 46,000 SF hangars with 32′ high doors and bi-level 62,000 SF wings for shops and storage. These will be the largest hangars Duncan has built and will integrate LEED elements such as light-harvesting, high-efficiency boilers for floor heating, and LED lighting with automatic dimming.

When completed the Lincoln site will have a total of 769,000 SF of hangar, office, shop, and storage space, while the Battle Creek facility will total 443,000 SF. The company expects to add 65-75 more employees at each location over the next five years.
