Pauls Valley Municipal to Get New Hangar
OK – The city of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, is growing and so is its airport. The Pauls Valley Municipal Airport (PVJ) is about to join the ranks of airports able to provide hangar space for larger single-engine and small to mid-size business jets. The recent approval by the city council for a $1.2 million bid for the construction of a 15,000 SF hangar will be the first of six hangars to be built in a move to attract more business traffic to the south-central Oklahoma region.
The city will pay for approximately five percent of the cost of the project, with the balance coming via grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission. In anticipation of further growth, the airport has already completed a taxiway extension that will connect this and future hangars and provide access to the runway. The city has worked with the Aeronautics Commission and intends to provide incentives to attract more aerospace businesses to the airport.
