New Development for Jet Access at Dallas Executive
TX – FBO operator Jet Access has begun construction on an 80,000-sq-ft FBO complex and MRO facility on the southwestern side of Dallas Executive Airport through a partnership with developer Burchfield & Partners and the city of Dallas.
The 14-month-long project calls for the construction of a new 8,000 sq ft hangar, a major upgrade from the 600 sq ft space the FBO is currently leasing from the city. It will include several conference rooms, a pilot lounge and theater room, a pair of snooze rooms, a kitchenette, andten0 offices. An adjoining 28,000 sq ft hangar will be reserved for community aircraft storage, while an additional 32,000 sq ft hangar with 8,000 sq ft of office space will primarily house the facility’s MRO services which include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, avionics installation and repair, pre-purchase inspections, AOG, engineering, and supplemental type certificate development, and paint and composite repairs.
Combined, they will bring the complex to 100,000 sq ft of aircraft storage, capable of sheltering the latest ultra-long-range business jets. “Expanding our maintenance and FBO operations in Dallas will bring high-paying jobs for skilled maintenance technicians and provide support for aircraft owners and corporations who rely on business aviation,” said Jet Access CEO Quinn Ricker.
Based in Indianapolis, Jet Access has operations in Indiana, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas. The company employs nearly 400 people.
