ARIZONA CARDINALS TAKE FLIGHT WITH NEW TEAM AIRCRAFT

The Arizona Cardinals have spread their wings with the purchase of a Boeing 777-200ER for team transport. The aircraft sports a Cardinals-themed livery and was first used for the team to fly from Phoenix to Detroit in mid-December of last year. According to Michael Bidwill, owner of the Arizona Cardinals, the aircraft will provide advantages through maximum convenience and comfort for the players while they are on the road.

The aircraft has a seating capacity of 288 and 166 of the seats are oversized for comfort purposes. It also features 28 first-class pods with lie-flat seats and 48 business-class seats. According to the Arizona Cardinals, only five NFL teams this season will travel more than the team’s 22,186 air miles. The team has traveled 109,277 air miles over the past five years which ranks the team as seventh for miles flown in the NFL during that time period.
