BUILDING DEVELOPMENT UNDER CONSIDERATION AT CONCORD MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

The city of Concord, New Hampshire has issued a formal request for statements of interest with regard to adding buildings to the Concord Municipal Airport. The areas available for potential construction are located on 16 acres on the north side of the airport with room for seven sites. Upon receiving responses to the request for statements, the city hopes to identify market interest in aviation construction and related projects. The city intends to maximize private investment at the airport in an effort to boost flight activity and the city tax base through the new projects.

All construction must satisfy FAA rules outlining the need for buildings to serve an aviation purpose and the land is not able to be sold. While portions of the airport territory are preserved as conservation land, the seven available construction sites are not designated for conservation. All of the potential sites are also within the safety perimeter of the airport.
