CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON NEW HANGAR COMPLEX AT CAMARILLO AIRPORT

CloudNine began construction on its upscale, private hangar development at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) in March. The development will consist of four (4) 25,200 square foot hangars each with 30’ high doors to accommodate the largest ultra-long-range business jets. Each hangar will also have 5,100 square feet of attached Class A office space. Located on the north side of the field with its own private entrance, the $34 million project is on a 7-acre site with a 50-year leasehold.

The brainchild of real estate developer Ron Rasak, CloudNine has already secured a long-term lease agreement on one of the hangars. In choosing CMA as the first of several planned CloudNine locations nationwide, Rasak stated, “In the northern part of the LA basin, there’s not much choice when it comes to private hangar options.” He also noted that CMA is less than 40 miles from Van Nuys, Santa Barbara, Burbank, and Santa Monica.
