FEAM AERO Building Second Hangar at CVG
KY – FEAM AERO, the nation’s largest provider of aircraft line maintenance services, announced last month it will build a second hangar at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The state-of-the-art facility will be built from the ground up as a 3-bay, wide-body hangar enclosing 150,000 SF of hangar, shop, and storage space with an additional 5,000 SF of offices for administrative functions. The hangar will be able to fully enclose aircraft types up to a 767 as well as accommodate three wide-body aircraft on the adjacent ramp.
The new $40.2 million hangar will join an existing 100,000 SF facility at CVG currently employing 300 technicians. FEAM expects to add 200 more high-paying technician positions as well as 50 administrative and material specialist jobs and to fill those positions the company plans to launch a nationwide recruitment campaign. Groundbreaking is tentatively scheduled for summer 2022 with completion expected by the end of 2023.
