Gogo’s AVANCE Systems Reach One Million BizAv Flights Milestone
CO- Gogo Business Aviation’s AVANCE systems have officially reached one million flights. The platform was launched in 2017 and continues to grow as the demand for in-flight connectivity increases. AVANCE systems are available on various business aviation aircraft from the Cirrus Vision jet to ultra-long-range aircraft.
AVANCE is a broadband product offered by Gogo and 2,504 business aircraft currently fly with the AVANCE L 5 or L3 system. Gogo reported that during the fourth quarter of 2021, the company experienced a 38 percent increase across all systems in megabytes consumed per flight. The company also indicated a 29 percent increase in daily flights compared to fourth-quarter levels in 2019. The AVANCE L5 system delivers two to seven plus Mbps speeds with low latency allowing for the use of video conferencing technologies while onboard. According to Gogo, the company is on track to launch 5G in the second half of 2022.
