Jim Flock: Pilot, Aircraft Owner, and Aviation Real Estate Expert
GA – Jim Flock is the APN Affiliate Broker in Georgia and South Carolina, and it was a pleasure to speak with Jim before the NBAA-BACE conference in Las Vegas, October 17th to 19th. APN will be exhibiting at the show and can be found at booth C10443. Jim is the President and qualifying broker at his agency, Flock Realty Group, in Atlanta, Georgia.
APN: “How long have you been involved in real estate?”
Jim Flock: “I’ve been practicing commercial real estate in the Atlanta area for 25 years.”
APN: “What aspects of the real estate business have you been involved with throughout your career?”
Jim Flock: “After attaining my MBA in Real Estate from Georgia State University, I began my career managing and leasing multi-million dollar portfolios of Class A Office, Industrial, and Retail properties. I also have extensive experience syndicating, acquiring, and disposing of similar assets.”
APN: “Do you have any areas of specialization?”
Jim Flock: “My brokerage firm [Flock Realty Group] specializes in Aviation Real Estate.”
APN: “What is your involvement in aviation?”
Jim Flock: “My love affair with aviation began in 2012 when I obtained my pilot’s license. I purchased my first aircraft in 2016, and it quickly became a lifestyle.”
APN: “How long have you been involved with aviation real estate?”
Jim Flock: “Flock Realty Group was formed in 2021 with the goal of advising and assisting the aviation community with their real estate needs. Combining real estate and aviation has been a dream job for me.”
APN: “How would you categorize the aviation property climate in your area?”
Jim Flock: “High demand and little supply. Our goal is to devise creative solutions for our clients’ aviation real estate needs.”
APN: “Do you have any degrees or distinctions you’d like people to know about?”
Jim Flock: “As an aviator and aircraft owner, I think I have a unique perspective of my client’s needs. I’m actively involved with AOPA and EAA and enjoy promoting general aviation in any way possible. Having been recently elected to the Board of Directors with the Georgia Business Aviation Association, I also look forward to promoting business aviation. I hold an active Broker’s license in Georgia and South Carolina and currently serve as APN’s Regional Affiliate Manager for the southeastern US.
