KILM SELECTS JEFFREY BOURK AS AIRPORT DIRECTOR

After a nationwide search and the receipt of over 100 applications for the position of airport director at Wilmington International Airport (ILM), Jeffrey Bourk has been chosen to fill the role beginning in January 2022. The airport authority made the decision unanimously and will engage in a three-year contract with Bourk. With more than two decades of airport business and operations management experience along with over 30 years of experience as a pilot, it is expected that Bourk will aid in the growth of ILM and help the airport to continue to foster relationships with the general aviation community.

Bourk has previously served as the executive director of Branson Airport, the assistant airport manager for Portland International Jetport, and held operations management roles at Teterboro and Westchester County Airport. Terminal expansion, increased business park activity, and new non-stop flights are all subjects that will come under Bourk’s wing at ILM. The airport supports 16,385 jobs and generates $85 million in tax revenue along with a $2.2 billion economic impact in the region.
