Million Air Acquires FBO
FL – Million Air announced it has acquired the Jacksonville Jetport FBO at the Jacksonville Cecil Spaceport (VQQ) in Florida. The 28.8-acre facility has been rebranded, and Million Air plans to completely recondition the FBO terminal. The first phase of the renovation will be a facelift of the existing facility to include upgrades to well-appointed upscale finishes throughout, a total revamp of the concierge area and coffee bar, pilot snooze rooms, and the flight planning room. Crew cars will be upgraded to Mercedes E class. During the second phase of the development a sizable amount of new square footage will be added to the FBO.
Cecil Spaceport is located 18 miles southwest of Jacksonville and boasts one of the longest runways in the southeastern U.S. at 12,503 x 200 feet as well as two additional 8,000-foot runways. The airport services military, corporate, charter and other general aviation operations and is developing its presence in commercial space operations with a new mission control center to accompany the airport’s new air traffic control tower, both of which were opened in July 2021.
