Million Air Acquires Marathon Jet Center
FL – Million Air, the Houston, Texas-based FBO network, has added its 34th location by acquiring the former Marathon Jet Center at Florida Keys Marathon International Airport (MTH) in Marathon, Florida, roughly in the middle of the Florida Keys. This is Million Air’s fourth Florida FBO and has been rebranded as Million Air Florida Keys.
The company will commence the first two phases of construction, planned to begin in 2023, with a 9,948 SF FBO terminal that will be a full-service indoor-outdoor restaurant with a park-like green roof. The facility will be open to guests of the FBO and the Marathon community. Phase one also includes a fuel farm and is expected to be completed by winter 2023.
Phase two will entail the construction of two hangars with 40,000 SF and 24,500 SF, which will be available for lease. Expanding the ramp area and taxiway connectors will provide 16 additional acres of aircraft parking and is planned for completion by the summer of 2024. The FBO offers a less-congested alternative to Key West International (EYW), which is only 45 minutes away by car and provides easy access to all the islands in the chain.
