MISSOURI SCHOOL BEGINS FIRST AIRPORT MANAGEMENT MBA PROGRAM
Beginning this semester, the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg is offering a brand new Master of Business Administration program in Airport Management. The program is the first of its kind in the nation and the only one in the world accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The School of Aviation at UCM has been training professionals in multiple aviation career tracks since the 1970s and already offers a Master’s Degree in Aviation Safety and Management. In addition to the Professional Pilot program, other undergraduate areas include Flight Operations Management, Aviation Maintenance Management, and Airport Management. The school trains nearly 500 students annually, with the flight training component comprising more than 24 aircraft based at the University’s own Max B. Swisher Skyhaven Airport (RCM) also in Warrensburg and the only university-owned airport in Missouri.
The MBA in Airport Management will bring real-world experiential learning into the classroom, emphasizing management best practices, quantitative analysis, and effective communication to turn out highly qualified airport executives trained in fact-based decision making ready to step into leadership positions.
