Modern Aviation Acquires Elliott Aviation at Des Moines International

IA – Modern Aviation recently announced that the company has officially acquired Elliot Aviation’s FBO at the Des Moines International Airport (DSM), with maintenance, repair, and overhaul still overseen by Elliot Aviation. This investment includes 17 acres of leasehold land and high-end facilities and amenities. Its 145,000 SF of hangar space and 20,000 SF of office space make Modern Aviation at DSM an appealing stop for midwestern travelers.

Modern Aviation and Elliot Aviation’s transaction is seen as a win-win by both parties, as Elliot looks to focus their efforts on its MRO operations. Modern highlighted that Elliot Aviation maintained long-term success in providing excellent customer service and stated that they hired all of Elliot’s employees through the process. The company is excited to be a part of the operations at DSM and looks forward to working with its Airport Authority to add value to the airport and the local area.

With the finalization of this acquisition, Modern now operates 13 FBOs as it continues to build a national network of premium FBO properties that provide exceptional quality, service, and safety.
