NBAA & Go Rentals – Industry Partners, For The Long Haul

Industry Events & Trade Shows

Each industry in America hosts its own unique events with specific goals, trends, and audiences in mind. For example, the tech sector thrives on cutting-edge innovation expos like CES, where companies introduce groundbreaking products. The fashion industry centers around events like New York Fashion Week, spotlighting top designers and influencing global clothing trends. In contrast, agriculture showcases its advancements by way of state fairs and trade shows that bring together farmers with the newest technologies. Healthcare relies on medical conferences for sharing research and advancing patient care.

Decades of Experience

APN (Aviation Property Network) recently had the opportunity to sit down and talk with one of the company’s key executives. Trissy Pickett is the Vice President of aviation development for Go Rentals. She brings decades of experience to the table, especially in terms of working with FBOs (Fixed Base Operators). Trissy had always known that there was clearly a deficiency in the availability of reliable rental car services at FBOs across the country.

The Vision

While fully content having worked within the FBO space, Trissy decided to take her career “next level” by joining the team at Go Rentals. Trissy immediately identified with the Go Rentals client-centric vision and was fascinated by the world of private and business aviation, embracing this dynamic and exciting, as well as ever-changing aspect of modern aviation. It’s a world that routinely caters to the wealthy and executive class.

NBAA & Go Rentals

This is the first year that Go Rentals will be formally represented by way of an exhibit at the annual NBAA event. Go Rentals will feature a large and clearly visible sign and booth at the much-anticipated annual event. Not to be outdone in any way, the company even has plans to give away a mystery premium vehicle (or the equivalent in cash) to one lucky winner. This is in celebration of Go Rentals’ upcoming 30th anniversary as the leader in private aviation elite vehicle rentals. Please note that you must be present to win.

Making Its Dreams a Reality

This generous giveaway is Go Rentals’ way of giving back and saying thank you to its respected clients in private aviation. The goal, says Trissy, is to “make Go Rentals the preferred elite vehicle rental company of FBOs across the country, and eventually around the world.” It’s an achievable goal with the organization well on its way to making its dreams a reality. Trissy, with her years of hands-on experience in the FBO arena, is a critical team member in making these objectives a reality. She says that her prior experience in the FBO space is her strongest asset.

Promoting Safety

These events make a difference because they encourage networking, spur economic growth, promote professional development, and promote the exchange of ideas. They also shape public perception, develop industry standards, and highlight key issues within each field. By bringing together stakeholders, such events strengthen industries from within while advancing innovation and collaboration. Indeed, aviation-focused events have a similarly crucial function in that they promote safety and provide a platform for sharing best practices, regulatory updates, and aviation-related technological advancements.

Private Aviation Leaders

These gatherings bring together aviation professionals, regulators, and innovators to discuss solutions regarding emerging challenges. Through workshops, exhibitions, and expert panels, they spark ongoing learning and innovation. By showcasing safety standards and promoting global cooperation, aviation events help propel the industry forward, ensuring safer and more efficient air travel for all. The NBAA is one such increasingly essential and valuable annual event that draws private aviation leaders, experts, and enthusiasts from domestic as well as international destinations.

NBAA Historical Perspective and Significance

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) traces its beginnings to 1946, when representatives from dozens of companies convened at the Cleveland Air Races to establish the Corporation Aircraft Owners Association (CAOA). By 1947, CAOA was officially incorporated, and just a few years later, in 1953, it adopted its current name, “National Business Aircraft Association,” reflective of its growing national reach. Early committees, particularly the Technical Committee, played a crucial role in collaborating with manufacturers to standardize avionics and improve maintenance practices and standards.

Advocacy and Operational Influence

From its very beginning, NBAA focused on advocating for essential infrastructure—airways, aircraft parts distribution, favorable regulations, equitable fuel allocations, and safety—all key components shaping the business aviation ecosystem. In more challenging times, such as the 1970s fuel crisis, the EPA’s proposed aircraft noise regulation expansion, the 1981 air traffic controllers’ strike, and post‑9/11 flight operations, NBAA stepped up to the plate to elevate member interests and ensure aviation continuity.

Global Expansion and Technological Leadership

NBAA’s reach expanded significantly with the emergence of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) in 1981, elevating business aviation on a more global scale. Technological leadership continued through initiatives like GPS implementation, FAR Part 91K (fractional ownership regulations), and the GA Desk at the FAA’s ATC Command Center.

The association has consistently championed innovation, including launching the web platform and digital communication channels (NBAA.org, Air Mail, Business Aviation Insider), and nurturing workforce development through certification programs.

NBAA serves as the leading advocate for business aviation, championing modernization, safety, economic access, and sustainability while maintaining a strong presence with regulators, lawmakers, and global industry groups. Through key events, certification programs, technical resources, and industry forums, NBAA equips members with cutting-edge insights, regulatory expertise, and professional development opportunities. Its flagship event, NBAA-BACE, stands as the world’s largest civil aviation trade show, driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and providing unmatched exposure to new products, ideas, and networking across the private aviation sector.

Commitment To Future Sustainability and Mobility

Through innovative initiatives like “No Plane No Gain,” sustainability summits, and the recent “Climbing Fast” campaign, NBAA positions the industry as both responsible and forward-looking. Additionally, the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Roundtable guides future aviation policy development for electric and autonomous technologies.

A Bedrock of Advocacy

From its humble beginnings in 1946 to its current status as the global authority for business aviation, the NBAA has served as the bedrock of advocacy, innovation, safety, and community in the aviation sector. Its conventions have consistently marked milestones—introducing the latest technology, shaping policy, expanding globally, educating professionals, and driving sustainability. For business aviation, NBAA is more than just an organization—it is a vital force that propels the industry forward. NBAA has a crucial new name in attendance this year.

A Respected, Elite Car Rental Company

Coming back to Go Rentals, an innovative and forward-looking elite car rental company that specializes in delivering high-end brand-name vehicles to private aviation passengers and flight crews. Perhaps most unique of all is the fact that the company stages these vehicles directly on aircraft ramps, engine running and ready to go as private and business jets taxi to parking. It’s a novel concept, and it’s working, as Go Rentals has recorded steady and impressive growth in recent years.

NBAA Preferred Car Rental Company

Trissy comments that “as the company continues to expand, we will reach a critical mass, where every FBO and every fleet operator will choose to align with Go Rentals.” Additionally, Go Rentals once had the ambitious goal of becoming the preferred rental car company of the NBAA, and having achieved this, is now recognized in partnership with the most trusted name in annual business aviation events. Please note that the Go Rentals elite car rental service is specifically catered to the clients and crews of private aviation operators.

NATA Safety First Certified

Also worth mentioning is that the Go Rentals organization is NATA safety first certified. Those in aviation circles know and understand that in the flying business, safety must always be the priority. For the success and the future of aviation in general, safety must never take a back seat. Safety is what has driven the industry since the earliest days of manned flight. “Safety first” invariably leads to long-term success and increased profitability. Go Rentals is a safety-first company that understands ramp safety protocols and trains all staff to that end.

Forbes Travel Brand

Finally, Trissy pointed out that “Go Rentals proudly maintains a Forbes Travel Guide brand preferred rental car company status.” She noted that “we are the only rental car company to receive this recognition. We are an elite car rental provider that delivers on the promises of giving each client a highly personalized elite rental car experience. Attention to detail and consistency are the keys,” says Trissy. As Go Rentals celebrates its 30th anniversary, it will continue to deliver the most unique and exclusive premium brand rental car service to both private aviation passengers and flight crews.
