NBAA Schedules and Dispatchers Conference 2024 in Fort Worth, TX

US-TX—APN is pleased to announce that David Vaughan (Business Aviation Group Partner) and Joanne Toledo (Operations Manager, Affiliate Broker, Relations & Sales) attended the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel between March 12 and 14, 2024. They enjoyed the sessions and meeting with APN’s airport contacts and FBO customers.

The NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference

The NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers conference is a great way to stay up-to-date on all the latest aviation logistic technologies, industry changes, and trends. This year, they had classes on the Dynamics of Empowered Leadership and Essentials in Scheduling and Dispatch for Business Aviation, and there were sessions on building and maintaining business relationships, organizing business trips to Africa and the Middle East, emissions and sustainability, empowering women in aviation and embracing the technological changes in the aviation industry. Of course, there were many other topics covered over the three-day conference.

Our Favorite Keynote Speakers

David and Joanne enjoyed all of the sessions they attended, as well as the keynote speakers. Their favorite keynote speakers were Ed Bolen (NBAA President and CEO) and Retired Air Force Colonel Merryl Tengesdal.

Ed Bolen

Ed Bolen is the NBAA President and CEO. We had the pleasure of listening to him kick off the conference by speaking on several key topics that are affecting the aviation industry. He is simply a wealth of invaluable knowledge. This is due to his extensive knowledge of the aviation industry. In fact, in 2001, he was tapped by President George Bush to be on the Commission on the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry, and just before becoming the NBAA President, he was the CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.

Merryl Tengesdal

We also had the pleasure of listening to a presentation by Retired Air Force Colonel Merryl Tengesdal, a remarkable woman. She has the honor of being the only woman to fly a U-2 spy plane for high-altitude reconnaissance and one of only five women to have been a part of the U-2 program to date.

A Chance to Connect with our Airport and FBO Clients

During the conference, we had the opportunity to connect with some of our airport and FBO clients, and it goes without saying that the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference is a great place to network with existing and new aviation businesses and individuals. We had the opportunity to connect with Signature Aviation, Modern Aviation, Cutter Aviation, Chicago Executive Airport, Saint Louis Downtown, and Scottsdale Airport. We also had some time to chat with representatives from APP Jet, Dallas Jet, Shelt Air, Hangar IT, who is developing property management software for FBOs and airports, and Paragon Aviation Group, which is an aviation group that’s specifically involved in helping smaller aviation companies network and expand their reach.

The NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference is a must-attend event for aviation businesses. If you couldn’t attend this year, we hope to see you next year.
