OSU OPENS FLIGHT CENTER

OK – Oklahoma State University has officially opened the Ray and Linda Booker OSU Flight Center. The new complex includes an 11,500-square-foot building that provides twice the amount of space available to students and flight instructors compared to OSU’s previous aviation facilities. The facility is southwest of Stillwater Regional Airport.

The new building hosts 35 workstations for instructors, debriefing rooms, a student lounge, locker room, academic suite, and flight simulation rooms. According to OSU, enrollment in the aviation program has increased by 40 percent and the college has added five new Cirrus SR20 aircraft to the fleet. The facility has been named in recognition of a 2019 gift from Linda and Ray Booker. An additional 16 families and organizations have named spaces inside the facility through private donations. OSU hopes the Flight Center will expand to eventually include aircraft storage to house the school’s aircraft fleet as well as the development of a new maintenance hangar.
