PAE INVOLVES COMMUNITY IN AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE

The Airport Master Plan at Paine Field (PAE) is currently being updated by Snohomish County and residents are invited to join virtual open houses and webinars to share their input on the airport’s impact on the community. The current Paine Field Master Plan was accepted by the FAA in 2003 and the airport expects the updated plan to be completed by 2022. The update has been broken up into two phases and began in 2020.

The airport intends to maintain public outreach initiatives throughout the process and the updated Master Plan will need to be approved by a County Executive along with the Snohomish County Council prior to being submitted to the FAA for acceptance. PAE contributes to nearly $60 billion of annual economic activity and supports 158,000 jobs in the region. The airport is also home to over 500 based general aviation aircraft and typically serves 315 aircraft operations on a daily basis.
