Pick the Paint for EAA’s One Week Wonder Aircraft

WI- Aviation fans are invited to participate in the selection process for the paint design of the 2022 One Week Wonder aircraft that will be built at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022. The aircraft will be constructed over seven days at the 69th AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The One Week Wonder plane will be a Sonex Waiex with a Rotax 912iS engine.

The aircraft will be built by volunteers prior to taxiing the airplane on July 31. Enthusiasts can currently vote for the aircraft’s paint scheme from a list of ten options. Initial voting will end on June 15 and then three finalists will be available for in-person voting at the One Week Wonder tent at AirVenture. The “Pick the Paint” contest is supported by The Sherwin-Williams Company, Scheme Designers Inc., Sonex Aircraft, Aircraft Spruce & Specialty, and Rotax. Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings will be used to complete the aircraft paint scheme upon the selection of a winner.
