Sheltair Grows at Rocky Mountain Metro
CO – Developments are on the rise at Rock Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC), as Sheltair recently announced the completion of its new hangar along with new construction plans for three additional hangars.
Sheltair’s newly constructed hangar (Hangar B) kept ultra-long-range jets such as the Gulfstream G650 in mind, having 30,240 sq. ft of total space and door openings 28 ft high. This $12 million development also includes overhead heating, high-powered fans, and four utility stations. The property has 48,000 sq. ft of newly added ramp space and 94 total parking spaces with electric vehicle charging stations on site. Additionally, the hangar has 6,234 sq. ft of leasable office spaces for six occupants, with a common area of a lobby, kitchen, and restrooms.
Along with the finalized construction of Hangar B, Sheltair plans to build three new hangars with supporting office space, ramp space, and parking by the first quarter of 2024. This add-on will create an additional 52,000 sq. ft of total hangar space to the current facility, 3,700 sq. ft. of new offices, 56 parking spots, and 67,856 sq. ft of ramp space.
